SPECIFICATIONS - GEARBOX INFORMATION

Components of PJ-W series All turbines series RS and PRO are equipped with an integrated metal gearbox. This gearbox is designed as two stage unit, permanently lubricated and cooled by the Kerosene/oil mixture. An outstanding feature of this gearbox is the capability of handling the rigors of 3-D flying as well as being extremely reliable for scale models.

Power is taken off the mainshaft directly between the main bearings. No vibration, no resonance, no hassle with unreliable belts. And the good thing is: The gearbox is maintenance free and carries a lifetime warranty.

The gearbox handles even sudden rotor stoppage without damage as being protected by an permanently installed flyweight / clutch unit.

Development of this system took 2 years and was very cost intensive. But the results are outstanding. "JakadofskyJetEngines" received patent protection on this particular turboshaft system in 2002. In the meantime the system proved to be so reliable, that it found entrance into industrial and military applications propelling UAVs.
